Inclement Weather – musiKids follows Montgomery County Public Schools for weather related closings. If MCPS is cancelled, musiKids classes will be cancelled. If MCPC has a delayed start, we will make the decision whether to hold classes or not (we cannot delay the start time for a class.) musiKids will post our decision on our website or on our voicemail by 8:00am. We cannot reschedule classes cancelled due to weather. Birthday parties – In case of a weather emergency, musiKids will credit the full amount towards a mutually agreed upon rescheduled event or a future class. If the party is cancelled because the musiKids instructor cannot be there, we will refund the party in full.
Makeups – musiKids is happy to provide make-ups but we must have your cooperation if the system is going to work effectively. We do not guarantee make-ups but will do our best to provide them as scheduling permits. There is a limit of 2 MAKEUPS per child per session for music and Movers & Shakers classes. There are no make-ups for MEDLEY,CAMP, or SPECIAL EVENTS. Makeups do not carry over to the next session. Please use our system. DO NOT JUST SHOW UP AT A CLASS TO DO A MAKEUP, space is extremely limited in some classes and if the instructor is not expecting you, they may not let you participate. If class is cancelled due to teacher illness, it will be rescheduled.
Trial Classes – musiKids does not offer free trial or drop-in classes. We do offer occasional open houses which include free “mini” classes. To check for our next open house click here. If you are interested in sitting in on one of our classes for a small fee, please call our office.
Visitors – A special aspect of musiKids is our small class size. We cannot allow friends to attend class on a one-time basis. However, we do understand that sometimes it is necessary to bring along an older sibling. If you need to bring a sibling to class, please call the office in advance to reserve a spot – knowing whis is coming in advance will allow our classes to remain intimate! musiKids reserves the right to limit the amount of visitors per class. There is a $10 per class charge for sibling visitors (3 visits max per session). Babies under six months and grownup visitors, such as grandparents or mommies and daddies, who want to attend together are always welcome.
Registration – Payment must be received before the first class. Spaces are reserved upon receipt of a signed registration form and payment. musiKids instructors have attendance sheets – if you are not listed on the instructors roster, you will not be able to attend class.
Refunds/Cancellations – There are no refunds issued once the session begins. There are no refunds given for special events. If inability to attend an entire session is due to illness or other hardship, a credit may be issued for a subsequent session subject to a $25 administrative fee. musiKids understands busy moms and changing schedules. If a class time is not working out, we are always happy to switch you to an available class. If there is no class that works in your schedule, musiKids can issue a credit for a subsequent session subject to a $25 administrative fee. musiKids reserves the right to cancel any class due to inadequate enrollment any time before classes begin, with full refunds provided.
Food and Drink – Please help us keep our classrooms clean. Only water is permitted in class. If your child needs a snack, please sit in the lobby area until you are finished. musiKids does offer Special Events/Camps during the year during which we provide snacks. All families must sign an allergy release before participating in any musiKids activity during which musiKids provides food.
Illness - Please be considerate of your classmates and instructor and keep sick children at home. We will be happy to help you find a makeup class instead. musiKids reserves the right to send any child showing symptoms home at the instructors discretion. |
